Re: Sinead or ?

Dennis, Wanted to let you know I looked into "Heroin", few weeks back. Ex had it on both "Animal Serenade" and I guess "Rock 'n Roll Animal"(?). She had to explain to me that the playing faster and faster part represents the rush. I listened to both albums completely. H...

Re: Sinead or ?

Dennis, You watch LOST, TOO??? TV's bad , you know! Not only does the military/industrial complex turn you into one of its robots with the insipidiocityishness of it (why do you think they call it ' programming '?), but you'll get cancer if you sit close! No, that Lost clip seemed pretty well done, ...

Re: Sinead or ?

Hi Dennis, Thanks, I threw that up at the last minute--really hadn't had time to work anything up fresh--that's a 1982 recording--but time's moving on and I figured it would be better to do something even if it was wrong--that one has a few major flubs in it. Not to argue or put myself down, but I c...

Re: Sinead or ?

Hi Dennis, So that I'll have said it plainly here once: since to me it's clear that the passed-down need to control, manipulate, govern or own other individuals is the source of an overwhelming majority of the horrors the world faces, there simply is nothing more important than to recognize the effe...

Re: Sinead or ?

Whether that came from my right-brain or left I don't know http://www.where-what-how-why.com/?p=111 She spins both directions. I didn't know what the page was about, hadn't read any text when I noticed the first change. One direction is as absolutely as real as the other. It's free will versus dete...

Re: Sinead or ?

Hi Dennis, I do think un-messed-up people would eventually de-emphasize government--reduce it's importance and presence in daily life, because they would feel less need to control their neighbors, insisting that they know better--than many of us do at this point. oops--irresistible wise-quote moment...

Re: Sinead or ?

Dennis, Back to the song in a second ( Thanks you're kind for what you said but I have to clear something up about it). But you hit the nail on the head: since the community--and world--IS directly AND indirectly affected by the damage people do to their children, the community and the world have th...

Re: Sinead or ?

If your mom had hit a stranger's kid on the head... Dennis , That would have been like you slashing the tires on a stranger's car. Slashing your own tires though is legal and no one else's business. Sometimes there might be a good reason to slash your tires, like for instance those times when you g...

Re: Sinead or ?

Karin, Parents have all the power. They control essentials like food and shelter. The only thing a kid--some of us anyway--can do is his best to keep believing in himself, not give in to the garbage reality that his parents try to feed him. During that period I spent a lot of time thinking of escape...

Re: Sinead or ?

Karin , "Hitting back" wasn't anything I ever considered. For a lot of reasons it was out of the question. I've heard of kids doing that, though it wasn't the way for me. But you have me thinking. I don't mean about 'revenge', I just mean thinking. Whoa. In another tab, I just now Googled...

Re: Sinead or ?

I'm adding to this thread only because this is where I mentioned my barbequed guitar (broken on my head in ~1968) (I THINK I've recovered...hard to tell from the inside looking out sometimes...)--didn't feel right to start a new one. Really the video is experimental--I've never uploaded anything to ...

Re: The Swedish Corporal Punishment Ban and the Vikings.

Hi Karin, It was okay that I was left out, I got plenty of smiles like that later. I thought about that 'maturity' thing a lot today. Sometimes you'll hear someone say something about somebody's emotional reaction to one thing or another. That it was "mature" or "immature". But a...

Re: The Swedish Corporal Punishment Ban and the Vikings.

Karin, I don't know the real name for them, but those first 'recognition-smile' moments like you had with your nephew are unforgettable. I've seen one: my son smiling and glittering like that at his mother. He was already at least six weeks old, had spent most of that time in the hospital--was born ...
