Re: Confronting our parents

Good questions, Sandy ! I think it's vital in healing to confront your parents, but you cannot force another person to do that. And it's not your current parents you need to confront (dead or alive) but the parents (and parent figures) in your childhood. We still carry these fears and pains inside o...

Re: Sinead or ?

Lloyd , I had posted an article yesterday that said the same thing about the anti-depressants being useless --> http://wallsofsilence.com/forum2/viewtopic.php?f=1&t=217 There's little I can add because I fully agree with your opinion here. It's known for years but the media only reports what it...

Re: Sinead or ?

Wow Steve, you're a real guitar virtuoso! And what an intro! Hah, didn't know that about video cameras and American users. Did you wash your hands afterwards :D

Thanks!

Re: Confronting our parents

Hi Sandy and welcome to the forum. It's good to see that you jumped right in and shared your comments. So, if I understood it right, the confrontation you had with your mom, by telling her how ridiculous it was that you kept her sending mothers day cards while you felt the opposite, was the beginnin...

Re: Sinead or ?

Sometimes I wish that any American who's distrustful of a Governmental law in forbidding child spanking should come to Sweden and see how kids behave here. Not necessary you, Steve, but I know that many Americans are generally distrustful of governmental laws that reach into the core of the family. ...

Re: Elisabeth Loftus

It's good that you pointed this out, guest. This is what was being written by Cesar about ipt-forensics.com at the wikipedia SRA discussion thread (archive October-December 2007) Biaothanatoi uses ad hominem arguments when he stated in the archived talk page that John Earl's article The Dark Truth A...

Re: Sinead or ?

I don't think laws against child abuse mean necessary more control on how people should treat their children. It's about setting an example that violence against children is not tolerated. And just like any other act of violence against a human being, it needs to be dealt with. If not, then it's jus...

Re: Elisabeth Loftus

Show me one single discussion on the whole of Wikipedia that has lead to a unanimous agreement on a controversial topic without people turning into character assassins. You haven't even looked at the article I linked about the evidence of Satanic Ritual Abuse. Isn't this typical for the so-called sk...

Re: Elisabeth Loftus

Cesar, I see there that you still quote from ipt-forensics.com at Wikipedia, after it's unmistakably clear what their agenda is about. To fresh up your memory: That someone related is a Board member of FMSF. The site ipt-forensics.com where you get your information from is basically put together by ...

Re: Elisabeth Loftus

I came across an interesting article ( source ) Is Ritual Child Abuse Just a Hoax? By Victoria Hardy February 15, 2008 Do we only see what we want to see? Or do we only see what we are shown? Many admit to knowing there is both good and evil on this earth, but it appears we feel that evil exists onl...

Re: Sinead or ?

... the only place psychology has ever been applied effectively in any practical sense at all is in SALES AND MARKETING. I think this is true as well. Psychology doesn't seem to be the knowledge of human behavior but the manipulation of human behavior. Clinical psychology is about re-victimizing th...

Re: Sinead or ?

Cool song, Steve! You have a real blues voice. Your voice is like a mix of Bob Dylan and Tom Waits. It's very much infiltrated in American society that raising children is up to the parents and no one else, especially not a government, should interfere with their freedoms. However, if we were talkin...

Re: Sinead or ?

Steve , how manipulative that scene was, a mother trying to teach her son a lesson about appreciation. Abusive parents are always the hardest on the one kid that rebels the most. If your mom had hit a stranger's kid on the head with a guitar, there would be no doubt of a criminal or even psychotic ...

Karin, I corrected your image code, I think. But maybe there's supposed to happen more? You can only link an image if it ends on .jpg .gif or .png and is put between these: I removed editing rights here because people were misusing this as they removed suddenly en...

Re: Sinead or ?

Wow, you burned your guitar. Indeed a very experimental video but your description helped. How anyone uses a guitar to hit a child on the head with is beyond me. Guitars make music, not agony (well, except if I would start playing). But the guitar was never to blame, was it?
